About Matthew Aycock
Matt began his career at Arthur Andersen in the Private Client Service Group in 1998. Thereafter, Matt spent four years at two local accounting firms in Houston focused on serving wealthy families and small/medium sized businesses. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas. He is a member of the Houston Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Matt is also involved in a number of charitable and civic organizations. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and then attended Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi where he earned his accounting degree. Born and raised in South Texas, Matt spent time playing golf as a child. Matt played collegiate golf during his time at the University of Texas and also competed professionally for a brief period after graduating. Matt and his wife Heather have three beautiful children and live in the Memorial area of Houston. In his free time, Matt enjoys travelling with his family and being a pilot.

About Jason D. George
Jason is a Partner with Aycock & Company, LLP and Empower CFO, LLC. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Houston CPA Society.
Jason graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master’s of Science degree in Accounting with an emphasis on taxation. At Aycock & Company, Jason’s practice focuses on wealthy families and real estate, including development, investment, management, and brokerage. Prior to joining Aycock & Company, LLP in 2011, Jason worked with Deloitte Tax LLP in the Private Client Advisors Group for nearly four years. With Deloitte, Jason served high-net worth individuals and private businesses and specialized in tax compliance and consulting for real estate and oil & gas companies.

About Austin Matt
As the Director, Austin works closely with his clients, which consist of small to midsize privately held businesses across numerous industries. Austin believes Empower CFO differentiates itself from other advisory and consulting firms by caring about each client’s unique needs by being proactive and responsive in every client situation, positioning himself as a key contributor to the leadership team, empowering management by providing forward thinking, data backed strategies that maximize shareholder value and long-term growth.
Austin began his career in public accounting at a boutique firm in Houston, Texas where he had a dual focus in both Tax and Audit. After his term in public accounting, Austin spent several years serving in controller roles for a public-to-private business serving the Oil & Gas industry. Austin then went on to serve as Vice President of Finance and CFO for numerous private equity portfolio companies where he was responsible for building scalable and robust accounting and finance departments capable of supporting the strategic growth initiatives of its private equity partners and investors.
Austin was born and raised in Houston, Texas where he grew up playing golf and lacrosse, learning the value of hard work and competition from a young age. Austin and his wife Kelsey have two beautiful children and live just south of Houston in the suburb of Friendswood, Texas. In his free time, Austin enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
